Simon playing with Ruby Gunslinger Simon playing with Ruby Gunslinger

Local guitarist and guitar teacher Simon Lunn has come a long way since he first learned to play The Troggs classic 'Wild Thing' at the age of 12, but has never lost that passion.

He has since gone on to play at Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club with his band Ruby Gunslinger in which he was an integral member of the band, plays 'guitars': acoustic, electric, lead and rhythm and writes with a riff based approach producing haunting melodies coupled with frenetic leadwork

He has now been teaching the instrument to budding guitarists for over 10 years.

I teach 20 to 30 students across Leicestershire each week, with ages ranging from eight to 68! I still teach Wild Thing as an icebreaker to beginners to this day, but if you want something more recent, we could do a bit of Ed Sheeran if you'd prefer. I've also played for a few covers bands over the years which proves very useful whilst teaching as I've usually got a song you'll know. So don't be shy to ask.

I also have experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly aspergers and dyslexia.
