Simon is a great teacher. I've only had a few lessons so far, but I already feel that my playing has improved considerably. I think he provides a good balance between technical and musical tuition; i.e. he teaches you things you want to learn, and also things you need to. Personally, he's very easy to get on with, and always very punctual. He always asks your opinion, and lets you direct your study, whilst still providing structure and attainable yet challenging targets. If you get him to show off a bit, I'm sure you'll agree he's an extremely talented musician [and his guitar is totally awesome]. I have no hesitation recommeding him to anyone looking for either formal or informal tuition, or a combination of both. Just make sure you give him a cup of tea. :D

I have been having guitar lessons with Simon for just over two years and have made great progress. Simon is patient, personable and knows what he is talking about. We have tried various genres of music and Simon is creative and has even encouraged me to begin writing my own music. He is flexible with lessons and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking t have guitar lessons.

Simon is a lovely guy - you feel comfortable with him straight away. He is very professional, a great teacher who teaches in a way that you are comfortable with. In addition, he is a truly awesome guitarist with a great grasp of music theory. He prepares well for all of his lessons and caters for all learning needs. I would recommend him for teaching both children and adults.
